About Sugar Rush Slot Guide
This site covers one thing: Pragmatic Play's Sugar Rush series. Four games, one grid, read and played closely enough that we can tell you what each one actually does, and show our working.
Who we are
Sugar Rush Slot Guide is a small independent team of slot reviewers. We are not Pragmatic Play and we are not a casino. We earn money through partner links to a casino (disclosure), which never decides what we write: a game we would not recommend gets said plainly, as you can see in every "Sour for" list.
Where every number comes from
- The games' own rules screens, read page by page in Pragmatic Play's official demos. RTPs, max wins, bet limits, the paytable, buy prices and every rule we quote come from there.
- The configuration each demo loads, which confirms those numbers and carries a few extra ones, like the developer's own max-win frequency. We label these clearly as the developer's figures.
- Our own play: 2,000 base spins and 74 bonus rounds logged in the Test Kitchen, four rounds recorded in full for the replays, and 76 screenshots.
- Release dates from Pragmatic Play's site and trade press announcements.
We don't copy numbers from other review sites. Where Pragmatic Play's website and a game's rules screen disagree (Sugar Rush 1000's RTP, for example), we show both and explain the difference.
How the Test Kitchen works
We play the official demos through the game's own server interface, sending the same requests the game sends when you press spin, one at a time. That lets us record exactly what the server decided on every spin: the grid, the clusters, the multipliers, the wins. We publish the summary, the method and the raw data. The full method is on the Test Kitchen page.
What we say about the data: it describes how the games behave over a few hundred spins. It doesn't measure RTP and doesn't predict anything.
How we score: the flavour profile
Each game page has a five-point flavour profile and an overall score out of 10. They are our editorial judgement, based on the rules and our play, and they compare the four Sugar Rush games with each other, not with every slot ever made.
- Spot potential: how high the multiplier ladder goes and how much the game can make of it (x128 against x1,024, max win).
- Base game: how lively normal spins are: hit rate, tumble chains and multipliers forming before the board clears.
- Bonus buy value: how our bought rounds were spread around their price. A small sample, weighted lightly.
- Simplicity: how easy the game is to understand and play safely; more special bets mean a lower score here.
- On a phone: how well the portrait layout works in the official demo.
The overall score isn't an average of the five: it is our view of how good each game is as a Sugar Rush experience. Current scores: Super Scatter 8.8, Sugar Rush 1000 8.6, Sugar Rush 8.0, Sugar Rush Xmas 7.8.
Editorial rules
- Facts from the game, opinions labelled as ours.
- Bad results stay on the page: our worst bonus (0.95x) is published next to our best.
- No pressure tactics, no "guaranteed" anything, no systems that claim to beat a random number generator.
- Every page shows when its facts were checked; the updates page lists what changed.
- Corrections are welcome and made quickly.
